AAMI 2023 Convening
About
The Association for Art Museum Interpretation (AAMI) meets annually to learn from our peers’ successes and challenges in crafting and evaluating interpretive experiences for art museums. The AAMI Convening includes two days of professional development, connecting, and fun.
Join AAMI’s first meeting in the San Francisco Bay Area. Four museums will jointly host this year’s convening: the de Young Museum, the Asian Art Museum, the Museum of the African Diaspora, and the Oakland Museum of California.
The two-day convening will feature keynote talks, in-gallery workshops and exploration, and roundtable discussions addressing many of our field’s most pressing issues. Rapid-fire case study presentations will spark imagination and provide new perspectives on old problems.
